hello, i was on this forum a few years ago when doing up a 66 valiant from slant six to 273 commando - good fun and lot of help from the forum - /forums/members/charger72sweden-albums-valiant-rebuild.html
now i'm a bit older and going for b body and 440. Got a few question:
The engine has mechanical lifters - probably not bad depending who you ask - question is if it goes on any 440 block? any special years?
The car is a 72 charger(as you figure from my name) - does all of them have discs in the front?
it has a 727 with shift kit and a ruff gearing in the back 3.91 - so not very nice to run on the highway - can you put a electrical o/d with that?
now it has the the long speedometer - got a rallye one with round ones - will it fit right in? - any changes to the electrical?
lots of question, sorry, all help appreciated

 

no stock 440 had solid lifters (i think that is what you mean by mechanical)
i believe some came with drums
not sure about tranny or electrical
