stereo noise

I have a 1993 R/T10 Viper
I took out the two factory amps.
and put in one big 4 channel amp, I used the hot and ground from the old amps to this new amp
It works good except when the engine is running it has engine noise
I bought and installed a noise suppresser and it did not help.
Does anyone have any idea of what I can do to take care of this?
Thanks

Did you remove any resistors? Radio, CD or both?

I know that I have them on my distributor and was told they're to reduce resistance you can hear or disrupt stereo.

first I took out the factory radio
and kept the stock amps
it all worked good with no engine noise
then I replaced the two amps with this one bigger one, that is when the engine noise started

Thanks

It is the stock ground lead from the car that went to the stock amp
I am going to unhook it and run a heavy groung right to the frame
and see what that does
