05 Dakota 4.7 wont rev over 2500 rpm

I recently ended up with a 05 dakota, first dodge ever owned, it is like its stuck in limp mode, whether in gear or park smashing the has or gradually giving g it gas it will not rev past 2500 rpms, I changed the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor this weekend d and still no change, I did get a stored code of p2308 ignition coil3 secondary circuit insufficient ionization....but that was the only one, seems to be getting a little worse off the more I drive I believe but maybe it's just me bei g frustrated! Anyone have any helpful ideas or suggestions?

Pull the exhaust loose at the exhaust collector flange and see if it RPM's... If it does the exhaust system has to much restriction and needs repair.
