Question 1977 B200. Smog delete - for UK use . . .

Hi all, my 1st proper thread and question.
I recently bought my beloved 1977 Dodge B200. (5.2l 318). My intention is to restore the drive train and rewire - he is very solid body wise, to then convert it to a high end Day Van.
I completely cleaned out the fuel system, tank, lines - all filters and rubber replaced. Oil and filter change, auto box fluid, filter and adjustments, new battery, fuel pump, spark plugs and leads/wires, rotor arm.
I noticed it came with the anti smog stuff on it - air pump which was not on the belt, canister attached to nothing and a boat load of vacuum stuff, some connected, some blanked off . . .

The 318 runs great, but usually stalls putting it into gear? It has a holley 2245 carb which for the mean time I will need to keep.

How much of the vacuum stuff can I get rid of, it looks a mess and how do I tune the carb accordingly? As far as I know - my knowledge is tiny, all that I need is the brake boost and distributor lines?

I hope I haven't bored you and hope you can advise me on my options?

Thanks in advance - Timbo.

Not too much problem depending on exhaust output where you are.

Does it have this:https://www.allpar.com/mopar/lean-burn.html

I would clean and rebuild carb, change for one that can be tuned, plug holes to heads from air pump, at this point you can tune.

These carbs are well known in the Mopar community and with a search I'm sure you can find info to richen up if needed.

No lean burn system Dan. Loads of vacuum stuff tho. Will get a pic up later today. We have emission levels to adhere to on our annual check (called an MOT)

Ours in Canada is Ministry of Transport. We have them but not annually, and if you change an engine the emissions must mach the car and engine that it came in. We had a '92 Dodge 5.2 MPFI which we changed for an 80's something engine with a bit of a cam and 4 barrel carb. Passed '92 emissions with 2 new cats, BBD 2 barrel and retarded timing with flying colours, couldn't believe it. Did it twice.

If you have the same type of rules, stripping the engine and making it into a pre smog engine makes things so much easier.

Cam was a Comp XE 256 H.

Same here Dan, hence MOT. Our emissions rules are no where near as strict as yourselves . . . Thankfully!
Is there any guides to stripping out the smog stuff on here - this is my 1st ever V8! I'm really flying blind to be honest . . .
