360 build how much horse?

360 build how much horse?

Hey i have a 360 im building and im wondering what kind of power ill get with these mods
edelbrock 650 performer carb
edelbrock performer intake mani.
Slightly machined 360 heads..bigger valves 480 lift
cam i cant remember what type
headers
Msd ignition

Just a ballpark answer would be great.

Not gonna even try to guess with the lack of info given... Cam specs alone can make a significant difference in power. Stock 360's start about 250hp.

Depending on the year the 360 you are building was made, that number could be higher or lower too. I've only seen 155-220 HP in some spec listings while torque has been from 235-285 ft/lb..

What heads are you using? Can you post up the casting numbers from teh block and heads? Some people on here can run the number and let you know what you are at least starting at with a stock motor.

Casting numbers on teh block should be on the passenger side. As far as the heads go, I think they are where the rockers are under the valve covers.
