360 hesitation

Hey everyone!

im working on my 1977 dodge RV and was hoping for some help. She has quite a bit of hesitation when I hit the gas, nearly dies especially when cold. When I punch the gas it does snaps out of it. She also doesn’t like idling in gear when cold.

ive replaced;

cap and rotor
spark plugs and wires
fluids all changed
air filter
pcv valve
rebreather

seafoam in the fuel tank
carb cleaner sprayed through the carb and vacuum lines going to the carb per the instructions

only thing left is to change the fuel filter, I accidentally got the wrong size.

I’ve never played with mopars before, I’ve always had fords! I read somewhere these 360s like to have the timing advanced a little? I appreciate any and all tips! Thanks everyone

Yeah, but mopars also like to ping, haha. Timing is a fickle mistress with them. Sounds like the carb probably needs a rebuild on that beast.

I agree sound like a carb overhaul is order... Needs a new Accelerator Pump and for the Choke to be adjusted... From what you are describing...

It also probably wouldn't hurt to check that the advance mechanism is not seized?
