4 barrel swap

I have a 73 power wagon with a 318 points distributor (which I hate) I want to put electronic ignition back in it. But I recently replaced the 2 barrel Carter with a 4 barrel edelbrock intake abs edelbrock 600 cfm carb. I got it to run with manually working the carb but I can't get the throttle linkage to line up. Any suggestions. Find a 4 barrel truck or car at the junk yard and get the bracket? I miss my truck and want it to be back on the road again. Thanks everyone and merryChristmas.

You could do that, but getting an aftermarket linkage like the one from Lokar might be easier. If there's a kick-down linkage as well, you can use two of the Lokars.

There simple conversion kits from Mopar and others including a distributor, control box, resistor and harness. One of the easier thing to do.

Assuming you have an auto ? FIRST there is a mopar specific throttle arm adapter that you need for the carb and the 4 bbl linkage from the bell crank mount to the carb

ill say it AGAIN. you need ALL the 4 bbl parts. not just carb and manifold. I.E. cable, bracket, throttle linkage, i hope iam not forgetting something. AND a STEEL fuel line. you wasn't thinking .of using hose for a fuel line WAS YOU? if you do you need to get a fire extinguisher.

I use a Bouchillion kickdown cable kit & throttle cable bracket

Using this takes away all the guess work & allows use of cruise control & is made by Mopar people & uses mostly Mopar parts & was not originally designed for a Chevy

This is about as clean a set up, as you're going to get (IMHO anyway).
The Lokar bolts on to a carb bolt and is locked in place with screws.

Just my 2 cents here,
But I'd get your carb set up sorted out and THEN worry about your points dizzy,
There's nothing wrong with points and they work well for the majority of vehicles, as long as the gap is set correctly, no prob.
Run it until you get all your elec ign parts collected for the conversion.
