426 hemi

hi all. this is probably a silly question to most but iv never actually built an engine to get more horse power, Does having a bigger bore mean more power?
if i was looking to get around 800hp from a 426 engine with a bds supercharger kit what would be recommended for bore size?

many thanks

chris

IMHO. just bore size will not add a lot of power. on blower engine i would want as thick of walls as you can get for strength. you build a street blower and engine way different than a race blower and engine. it is package. a lot like chrysler built race cars, its NOT just a cam and carb.. i have been told you should use forged pistons. and not to spin the blower any faster than 1 : 1. the blower maker will give you all specs you need. and i think blowers need a cam just for blowers. a 426 Hemi will have no trouble making 800 HP on gas. IF you have the money. they are NOT cheap.
