440 EFI

Hi,

We're building a 440 with roller rockers and lifters, and a performance cam for a 1974 Jensen Interceptor. The pistons are stock and we've added aluminum heads. We're considering the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI system with the Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold for greater economy and performance but have a couple of concerns...

Has anyone used this setup on a 440? Is this any taller than the stock manifold and carb? We're worried about potential interference with the hood. We're also wondering if the assumed performance and economy will be worth the effort.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Not sure of the fit for the Jensen under the hood.... But the conversion will make for easier driveability...
Keep us post on what you go with...

Did you complete the installation of the EFI system? How did it work out? Any problems with the clearance under the hood. I have a 1976 Jensen Interceptor and plan to do a very similar set up to what you described. I used Edlebrock Performer heads and intake on another Interceptor iI owned about 10 years ago but with a Edlebrock carb. It kicked out a lot of horse power but was hard to start and stalled out at top rpm's. I'm looking at trying out the EFI on the 1976 Interceptor to see if it starts and runs better than it did with a carb. My car had 10:1 compression and a uprated cam.
