451 stroker valve lash

Hi guys, don't know what cam is in 451 stroker in 69 Fish I just bought.
Where is a good place to start valve lash- solid lifters. Car is giving me fits with spitting through carb- have tried advancing to no avail. New plugs, wires, distributor, cap, rotor, (electronic ign) no vacuum leaks-Holley 750. Firing order confirmed. Ran car gently through neighborhood then it developed a cough on number 2. Valves and springs good all rockers working. Lash is currently at .018/ .022. seems to be spitting on all cylinders now and not just #2.

Thanks a bunch
TC

Hard to tell with out knowing what the cam grinder wants.... How did you come up with the 18/22...

Here is what Comp Cam said... Just the one I looked up.??????

Check and make sure the Dist. Shaft is not bent....

Also Recheck the compression in all cylinders....

Thanks Bob,

18/22 was consensus #s from other hot rodders, engine builders, etc.
I'll work on car a little more later this week and repost- thanks.
