Aftermarket air cleaner help

I have a 72 Dodge D100 with a 5.2, 318 V8, with an original 2 bbl carb. I’m trying to update look with aftermarket air cleaner and I don’t know what will work. I know you can buy spacers and adapters to adjust diameter on bottom of new air cleaner from 5+ in to 2 5/8 that is the diameter of my carb. Will a 14 in, say Edelbrock air cleaner work if I get the correct adapter? Also, the air vacuum hoses for the stock engine, do I plug or what? Then, the big, aluminum “dryer vent-like hose” on driver side of air cleaner on the stock air cleaner to engine. What do I do with that? I would appreciate the help. Thank you

Yes Edelbrock might have the adapter you need.

I believe your carburetor is a Carter BBD.

Here is an example of an adapter to switch from 2 5/8 to 5 1/8.

The "dryer hose" is part of a heated intake air system. However, the controls for it are part of the stock air cleaner. Simply remove that hose from the exhaust manifold heat shield.
If you'd like you can read more about that system here.
