Big block swap

I have a 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger, I've recently purchased a 383 big block and would like to put it in, but my car has a 318 small block, I'm wondering what all needs to be done in order to swap the big block in and take a small block out

But but what does that mean, I already have a rear end out of a big block challenge air in it and I already have a 4-speed with a universal bellhousing that will fit it so really I only need to change the motor that's the only drivetrain part that's left, what needs to be done

WITH the added info !! Engine, radiator, motor mounts, exhaust, You may need to use an electric rad fan possibly in front of the rad due to space limits

Would any custom fab work have to be done or suspension work?

You can get conversion motor mounts from Schumacher Racing.

As far as anything else, set up the motor in it's new home and see how things go.

While you may not "need" any suspension mods, you will most likely REALLY want them.
318 torsion bars will work with a BB, but may not be optimal.
Yes, a shoe horn may come in handy

The bottom line is what you plan on doing with the car. For street cruiser, you may not "need" as much as you would for a race rig that will have to take more abuse.
