Flowmasters on a 360

Hi all are the 40 series flowmasters any good of a stock 360? I have a dual set on my satellite at the moment. Not sure if I'm benefiting out of this set up.

It does sound awesome, the previous owner also dumped them before the diff so drones quite a bit, not sure if it is legal here yet.

Summit carries Flowmaster mandrel bent tailpipes for b-bodies, right around $200 I think. The quality it excellent, I run the 3" ones on my Charger.

“Better” is always relative. Generally, the longer the muffler, the quieter/deeper the rumble. If you have a full race setup, you’ll not be worried so much about getting yanked by the cops on a noise citation. However, if it’s a stock daily, that won’t be an issue and you can put something mundane on there.

The 40s and 44s are the same length, Does one flow better than the other. The Summit Turbo mufflers a cheap and dont sound good at Idle there is a pinging ringing sound like someone is hitting the pipe with a hammer...Bill

I put Super 40s behind my big block with a modified X-pipe and I swear it sounds like a Lambo on steroids when I stand on it. Flowmaster claims the Super 44s flow better, but the Super 40s have a 5" case so I assumed they were a better choice. To late to change them now. I agree that Summit Turbos are junk. After 7 miles I cut it out and replaced it with a Summit Street and Strip (flowmaster ripoff) and it sounded nice in my old 5.2L Ram.
