Oil Light Is Flashing On The Gauge

1977 Dodge Aspen 2 Door Coupe. When I am holding the brake to put the vehicle in gear or the vehicle is at idle the oil light flashes off and on. When I come to a complete stop the oil light flashes like the vehicle wants to stall, When driving the oil light goes off. I have checked the oil it is full. Excuse my ignorance everyone because of my health my mind does not always think clearly. I am unable to get under the vehicle at this time but does a 225/3.7 have a oil sending unit or oil pressure sensor?? And if so where is it located by the oil filter?? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You

If its not on the oil filter adapter>>> Then it is near that area screwed into the oil galley passage close to the oil filter.....
I would say, Try a new sensor.... Not sure what you are using for motor oil? But I would say y'all should be using 30W or 15W40

Are weather here is pretty crazy if it isn't raining the temp goes from 90 to next day of 65 are lower lol, Its weird that's for sure, I use to ride in the rain but don't do it on the bike anymore, roads here pretty bad. So not much riding this year because of all the rain we have had. But I have lived in TN most of my life. Tomorrow I will put on another sensor and also go ahead and change the oil and filter as well. Will keep you posted as always thanks for the advice sir.

I ordered a oil pressure sensor, Will have it in the morning also have a filter and the correct oil weight, Think the last oil change I did I used 10W 30 so I guess the wrong weight huh. Question on the oil I use to use Castrol years ago but switched to Pennzoil High Mileage after Castrol went up in price, Is the Pennzoil oil still good to use in a vehicle of this age still ?? One thing I always liked about living here in TN just about everyone here approves and supports our second amendment rights, Pretty laid back state. Our Sheriff Casey *** does for sure he is a really nice guy I was glad when he got elected and not some idiot in there lol. I

have went turkey hunting with his son. This state also allows you to open carry or conceal carry it is your choice to make. I have never been political myself but it is always nice when someone is in a office looking out and supporting those who elected them and looking out for there best interest you know. My wife is a truck driver and some places she goes like Chicago or LA you know have gangs there so she is able to carry to protect herself if need be, You never know these days. It is better to be ready, Then not ready you know. My father was a war veteran before he died I use to always go thru Memphis to take him to the VA, Man the traffic is terrible there lol

You and Mr. Bob are good people. The Oil Pressure Switch was the issue with the oil gauge flashing on and off when at idle and braking when coming to a stop, Replaced the old switch with a new one and ran a new wire and clip to the switch issue has been fixed. Good deal. Thanks guys !
