Leanburn or choke thermostat?

Ive got my diplomat running good now when it warms up no more hesitating stumbling or anything now my problem is before it hits operating temp if you hit the gas hard it just straight dies but it will start back up fine and run good as long as i dont hit the gas hard. could this be a choke thermostat issue or is it still something thats more along the lines of the lean burn? it doesnt misfire or anything im just at a loss here as to why it would act like that its an 87 diplomat auto with a 318

The best hing to do with the lean burn system is put it in the trash !! Get a conventional distributor and ign box and be done with it
