Hey guys when i took my distrubtor off i had a metal ring that came off with it and i have lost. Im trying to replace it but cant seem to find a name for the part or find it anywhere. Anybody know what it is or if i even need it?

 

MUST be installed. I would check if your local dealer has it.. distributor seal ?? Any LA motor same size.

 

If it's 2 inch I.D. not needed as there should be a groove with O ring that seals to the block when dist pushed down. O ring easy to find.

Felpro 6464 may work as well and you local auto part store should be able to order it for you.

 

I had experience with them where the distributor would not seat completely you could see a slight wiggle in the dist when running That's why I recommended replacing it
