Must I change camshaft?

Hi everbody

Some time ago I replaced my Holley 2 BBL with a carter AFB 625CFM but I'm a bit concerned because some people recommend me to change my 360 V8 stock camshaft or I won't be able to get all the benefits of a 4 BBL carburetor

is this true?

in my opinion i wouldnt worry about the cam in a 360 if it was a 318 you would probably have to rejet the carb but 625 cfms in a 360 should be okay.

a stock 360 2bbl carb is very mild compared to a stock 340 cam

Part of me says leave it because it's a big car. The other part of me says if my wife is not driving it modify it.

My son took his brothers 1988 Mustang 302HO engine and put it in his 1988 Lincoln Town Car and loves it. He's told me he has beaten some little tuner cars which must be terribly embarassing for them.

There are not many stock cars around this family and some people think we're nuts but boy we have some good fun.
