I'm almost finished installing my new motor in my 78 Aspen R/T. It's a 360 with a good size cam (218/224 duration at 50, 0.474 lift), Edelbrock performer rpm heads, performer intake, 650 cfm carb, and TTI headers with 2.5" reducers. I want to weld a pair of mufflers directly to the reducers. I want to be able to hear the beast I've created without violating any noise ordinances, and the mufflers will need to be small to medium in order to fit. What do y'all recommend (looking to stay around $100 for 2 mufflers).
Just get a pair of Magna-flows. Don't think you'll do that for $100/pair though.
Some of the knock-offs might work, but the durability becomes a factor.
If you really want to hear it, see if they are still making Cherry Bombs

Reason: typo
My Ford project has a cam with 248° duration @ .050 Lift and my choice for mufflers wasn’t influenced by noise ordinances but the ability to set off car alarms, here’s what I like. They are mounted on the collector’s and have turndowns, it’s a very rowdy 289. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-630855
