new to 318
but not new to wrenching. I was an inline 6 guy, mostly. Then i got a 69Dodge A100 van- desert find, zero rot- w/ a new crate 318 in it.
so far, i put a new dist & petronix ignition in it and had the local shop make up dual exhaust thru long cherry bombs. the rear was 3.90 sumpthing, way too low for me, now its 3.50, thru the 3 sp. stick.
front end tight, brakes hard as a rock......
i putting on a 1.21 venturi Autolite 2150 2 bbl, as im thinking it will help hauling two HD's over the mountains, and not affect mileage... in fact, im betting i can better what im getting out of the stock model. Anybody made this swap?Mutt

Welcome. I would consider a Street Demon, the small primaries with triple booster give great breakaway and good mileage, large secondary there when needed. It worked great on our 318 D200.

me: '93 Dyna, 81 FX bitza, her, a 91FXR & an '06 roadking..... yeah, i think ill look around for a used edelbrock or weind manifold, and hunt up a street demon, in the long term. short term this 2150 autolite will be fun....
