Performance Cam

Hi everyone

I have a 2012 Charger RT. I have started doing modifications as I am getting more into going to the drag strip. I have been looking at performance cams and just wanted anyone's input or opinion on the Mopar Performance Purple Shaft Camshaft - P4529315AE just looking for input if I should consider this cam shaft or go with a comp cam

Thanks in advance for any input

Thanks for the reply. And yeppers the mods I have done so far are hooker shorty headers high flow cats and a custom stainless exhaust. I also had a custom tune done for the car as well.

You should look at a block off kit for the MDS and replacing the MDS lifters with any Gen 3 cam change/upgrade.

Currently I have the Mds turned off with the tune but that is definitely going to be part of the cam Install. Thanks everyone so far for the input I am new to this forum and so far a great experience

If you're getting serious about the dragstrip (meaning, serious about spending money), you might want to upgrade your cylinder heads and valve train along with your new cam.
There are some great all-in-one cylinder head and valve train kits on shophemi.com and similar sites. If you're having a shop do the installation, talk to them about your plans and goals so they can help you order parts (or just do it for you). Just be warned, you can spend a lot of money on this stuff really fast!
