Rocker are assembly

Which way do the holes in the rocker arm shaft point up or down (for oiling the rocker)? Thanks. This is in a 1977 440.

mount those rocker shafts with the bottom holes 15 degrees toward the out side, I.E. the valves. from factory service manual. tighten rocker shaft bolts to 25 ft-lbs.. valve cover bolts to 40 INCH lbs. on the exhaust manifold nut to 30 ft lbs. DO use anti-seize compound on bolts on exhaust nuts. and ALL bolts on the bottom of truck. take to 60-70 % of full ft lbs first time, after 5-7 full heat cycles take to full torque, if it leeks before that take to full torque.
