Vacuum
Vacuum
guys I need some help with Vacuum... I am swapping a 98 magnum 360 into my 86 W250. Putting an edlebrock carb and intake on the magnum. Now I am doing away with the vacuum controlled axle engagement system and replacing with a cable. Sooo... What should that leave? What will need manifold vacuum and what will need the metered vacuum off the carb? This is a bare bones truck with no frills only heat. I am going with the stock distributor from the truck... That is all the information I can think of. Any help would be appreciated. Also the intake is a non EGR intake.

Brake booster
Dist advance
Vacuum pod under dash? unless it is cable operated in 89!
About all i can think of....
But like you said... Swap out the Transfer case with a cable set up and change the front hubs to Manuel locks.

I am very glad I found this little gem... Removes the old vacuum switch on the D44 housing with a cable actuated unit. I should just have to block off the vacuum ports on the transfer case to keep it sealed tight. This will also allow me to run 2 wheel drive low... which is kinda pointless but cool none the less.
Brake booster will be straight manifold... and distributor will be metered correct? I think the 86 is all cable under the dash. I believe when I remove the old 86 360 I will document all the vacuum I can and just try to filter through all the unnecessary stuff.
