wont fire

OK so i went to fire my 85 w150 up to day an all she did was turn over, i she did not even try to fire, so i jump out check to see if i'm getting fuel I'm good there, i pull a plug wire from the dist to see if i'm getting spark an nope no spark.. so i then pull the coil wire off to see if i'm getting spark from that i'm getting some, the coil is a almost new flamethrower brand coil. so i replaced the coil wire, nothing, i pulled the dist cap, the cap looked pretty clean but replaced the rotor as it looked a little worn but not bad, but still nothing?? do you guys have any tips or idea's?? i don't want to run out an buy a new dist for 80.00 lol when it could be something else mabe?? hahaha no info would be great guys

Take your distributor out. Put your voltmeter on millivolts. Connect the leads to the distributor and turn it. You should generate some millivolts. If you don't get a reading your pickup coil is probably toast.
