8 1/4 Sure Grip Rear End Questions
Hey everyone, have a couple of questions on Mopar 8 ¼ rear ends.
I have a1988 D150 Shirt Box that I’m redoing and I’d like to find a 8 ¼ Sure Grip rearfor it, preferably pre 1984 with the smaller bolt pattern.
Any sure grip 8 1/4 should work as long as thesplines are the same....Right?
What type of vehicles should I be targeting to find a suregrip? Any way to tell besides the numbering code or jacking it up and spinningthe wheels?
Can a rear out of a Dakota be swapped in a Ram D150? I knowthe axle splines are different but are the close in width?
Any info would help! Thanks

It would be very difficult to find one in a car. As it was an option. A used one if you find it may ore may not be worn out. So if you are going thru all the trouble Just buy a new one. Check the web site a good video on a jeep rear end. The mechanics are the same...
are you sure it isn't a 9 1/4
