9.25 Pinion Preload Shimming.
With Ratech 4109 solid pinion spacer.
.032" shims = 0"lbs.
.025" shims = 50"lbs (with seal)
.028" shims = 25"lbs (with seal)
Thought I'd share this info after my son just did ours and before building I had no luck finding shim thickness to tension info anywhere.
The adjusting tool for differential backlash and preload we made ourselves from 1" bolt 1 1/2" hex head ground slightly on the flats only to fit the odd shape, welded to pipe and short 1/2" extension.
