A518 shift kit

A518 shift kit

I'm feeling like my '74 TF727 is starting to demand a rebuild so I think is time to install my A518. Before start doing the swap I want to make some improvements to the tranny, right now my goal with my 360 is something between 400 - 450 HP and >= 450 ft/lb of torque, I really like how my 727 gently shifts through all gears but I want something more aggressive, something that were I floor it, it feels like there's some power under hood

I was thinking about a shift kit for this tranny, has anybody tried to do this upgrade on this tranny? Maybe a transgo shift kit is the more straightforward option?

What about the capability of engage the lockup converter in any gear? has anybody done this mod before?

518 shift kit does require some drilling of the main shaft A tough job... Otherwise fairly straight forward
