Automatic to manual conversion

Has anyone ever done an automatic to manual transmission conversion? If so would a shop do it and what goes into it, as in what would I need to buy?

You need the pedals and linkage for the engine used, 6 and v8 have diferant belcranks or z bars whatever you what to call them, bellhousing, flywheel and clutch, transmission and shifter, the floor also needs the hump for the shifter.
Your best bet is to start with a parts car or two.
