converting column shifted to floor shifted

hello i am restoring 2 1970 challenger. both are column shifted cars but i would like to change it to floor shifted. my question is how to change the steering column to floor shifted. i.e. take the steering column shifter off and the bracket with the linkage making it a floor shifting steering column.

You use different linage with the floor shifter....
Remove the shift arm, leave the bowl in park.
However, Make sure to install and wire the neutral safety switch to the new shifter.

Pull The Pin.... Remove the lever.... Remove the detent spring....
You can buy all the parts to fully remove the shift bowl if you want too. But at that point I would just do a complete column....
