73 dodge dart brakes

OK. Dumb question. Got a kit to replace front disc and calipers today. In package appears to be two elastics? Any ideas? I see these in other kits advertised ?? No mention in manual. Any help?? Jetmech6868@AOL.com. thanks

the rebuilt calipers come with them as well , I have never used them though
