Converting over to power breaks
I'm looking to convert manual brakes to power brakes do I need new brake lines? I've already converted the front disc brakes and I also want to convert the back to disc brakes. I have an 8 3/4 posi rear, all wheels are small bolt pattern. I was also wondering if someone can post a link to a brake system that I can use for a 1970 Dodge Dart It had a six cylinder and that has been changed to a 318. Thanks guys. oh also i have an adjustable portion valve is that ok to use? Or do I need an original.

Welcome to the site....
SSBC. Might help on the brake conversion.>>> http://ssbrakes.com/
Check the Vendor Directory up at the top of the page also for some help on the parts..
As for the 70 Conversion... Find a doner car like a 73 Dart or Scamp or Duster and pull all the hardware from it to change over..
Just my thoughts....

The small bolt pattern will limit your options most convert to the 4 1/2" pattern Brake lines & prop valve should be fine as long as they are not rusty..+ If you already have a 8 3/4 you should ??? convert to the 10 X 2.5 drums the smaller 9" drums are getting impossible to find which work Great. I would not put disks on unless you have money to burn. Can be better spent in other areas
