I need to replace the alternator on my 68 Roadrunner. It has a 440 estimated 500 hp??? I have almost no accessories other than a external fan.
Do I need a high amp output?
How do I know if it is internally or externally regulated?

 

If it still has the 68 hardwear in the car... It will be an externally mounted regulator up on the firewall.
