Today I noticed heat coming from the interior dash vents even with the push button heat being in the off position. Anyone else ever had this problem??, Is it the fan motor not turning off possible even though the button is pushed in and off??, Wasn't sure where to post this or ask this question, If this is posted in the wrong place please put the topic where it needs to be moderators if you kindly would. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You

Could be a stuck heater control valve.

I was thinking that as well, Looks like the valve is the original one, So it would not hurt to replace it. Guess I will order one from Advance Auto Parts if they have one and try that. Thank You

Assuming this is an older Mapar:
Did you try to manually move the valve?
Should just be a cable or wire from the dash.

1977 Dodge Aspen 2 Door Coupe 225 3.7 Here it is looks like it is original equipment. I will find another one and just replace it I guess.

 

The entire housing including the control lever that the rod attaches to is rotted out I will just get another one and go from there. Rust is always the worst enemy on these old vehicles looks like. Thank You

 

FYI, The fan blower motor may run ever so slowly even when the switch is in the off position, This keeps Mold and Condensation out of the air box and duct work.
