Heater valve clicking-why

Hello Mopar madmen
Can somebody help me figure out what is causing the heater valve (which is new) to start clicking intermittently after the car has been run for some time. I think it has something to do with the rubber hoses that connect to it. Is it a vaccum problem or leak of some sort. When I turn on the headlights which are the hideaway type the clicking stops under the dash. Anyone experience this? This is a 72 Charger SE. Thanks for the help.
