My 1990 Dodge Dynasty has a gas door lock, which is unlocked from a switch next to the driver's seat. Recently, my gas door has been opening when the car goes over bumps in the road. I've known the door lock doesn't work any more, but I want to repair it. I've found the cable and the unit encased in rubber in the trunk area. The cable itself seems fine, but the part that actually retracts to open the door seems to be missing, as nothing holds the door shut. I would like to know what sort of latch is supposed to be there so I can fix it. Any other information about this system would be great.

 

I'm Sure someone has a hand full of those thing.....

 

Ya just go to a Dodge dealer I bet if he can find one they'll be happy to get rid of it.
