I have a 1972 340 4 speed duster for sale or trade. It is a original petty blue 340 4 speed car. no build sheet or fender tag that I found so far. the sides of the car have been repainted once but there is very little to no bondo,very solid. one of the past owners was fighting with his girlfriend and ran into a school bus and pushed in the front. he took the front apart and bought replacements but then left it. I have the fender that is on the car and one for the drivers side. I have a new/old inner fender for the drivers side also. the guy repaired the left front frame very ugly and I also have a replacement frame. The quarters are very solid and I have a drivers side trunk and quarter extension with some quarter panel sheet metal good for patches. The floor pans are very good but have surface rust. In my opinion the car would need a trunk floor because it needs a spare tire well and there is rot where it bend up to the tail light panel. The car has a a833 4 speed ( as far as I know original) and a 318 because the owner blew up the original 340. the 318 does have the 340 manifolds on it. The car comes with a complete oil pan to intake 1972 340 and a kelsy hays disc brake setup. I would like to trade for a 1970-1971 cuda project but WILL consider all mopar trades,(a-body,b-body,e-body ect or $5,800 obo

For mine I paid 3000. Was all original motor(340)/tranny(727). I don't see 5500 for it. Maybe if it was in better shape and not creamed in the front. I would be interested in the tail lights if your selling those separate lol.

Sorry You asked !!!! It's worth more to sell parts That car is very rough !!!

Actually the car is not too bad, downfalls are the front end damage, when you mention inner fender it immediately says bent subframe, non matching motor is also a value killer. The disk setup helps offset it a little provided you have ALL the parts to do the swap. If you had the original motor i would say 4-5K max because of the damage in the nose. One last thing, that looks like a bench seat shifter in there... just my .02

They'll tell you the same thing...The car is rough and it is an A body Not a B body..Just face it It is not worth what you are asking...Look on E-bay ther are cars in 5 times the shape of yours for less or around the money you are asking...Also with no build sheet or fender tags it stands to reason it is not a real 340 car...That is one of the oldest tricks....Sorry to burst your bubble...Bill

NO Not trying to be rude, just practical.. it's a matter that once you get it stripped you will find 10X the rust that you could see. And you don't show a picture of the front end.. For all we can tell the frame is pushed into the firewall...I wouldn't even consider that for a project. You are looking at 3-4 years of spare time work and $20K, plus the cost of the car!!!

I too am on A body's and looked at your ad you have a **** ton of photos but no takers?? I see you have an extensive collection why not add it to yours? These guys are not being rude just commenting on what they are seeing in your photos, I agree with everything said here! No fender tag, no build sheet no proof of a real 340 car it's basically an over priced parts car, sorry but that's the stone cold truth!!!

All I have to say is that I appreciate the honesty of your photos and description, it would have been dishonest to cherry pick photos or fluff up the car's situation. Maybe 5500 is too much, but I think this car is cool and probably has a story to tell.

I have read back on this thread and I do not see anyone being rude... Maybe they have hurt your feelings with their appraisal of you car??? But when you ended your first post you opened your self up for offers when you said "OBO"... In my opinion, anything is only worth what someone will pay for it.... Buyers and sellers have to come to an agreement on that.... Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't... No one is jealous or rude here that I know of.... Honest and blunt at times yes.... But, not personal or rude... I think maybe you were hurt by others not sharing your view on the value of your car.... Happens.... We just have to remember that everyone has an opinion and also has the right to express that opinion... That is what I see here... Just different opinions....

One thing I have to question you say that the quarters are in great shape..The left is full of bondo or all wavey from distorted metal and the right has a rust hole in it...This site and A bodies only, is like a big family and most on here have a real love for the product and when someone comes on the site and trys to stick it to my family you just stepped over the line....Tell it like it is; this is not criags list or E bay....I have given people stuff for free just to help them out and even paid the shipping...Its not always about the money it is about creating a relationship with people and the love of the product..And thats why all the comments about your car.. ok, to start off, I was only selling the car if I could get that, I know it was high,I was going to part anyway but I thought it was to solid to part so I listed it on here and a bodies only thinking if somebody will pay it then fine, if not I really didn't want to part it out..but I can get that money parting it so I was just simply seeing if anybody would bite at $5,000 or so if they wanted to restore it, yes I am parting it out now so.. the dash is SEPERATE.

I have a lot of experience with fabo and I love it there , like you said it's like a big family, they do not alow commentary in for sale threads because they know this would happen

Im 12 by the way, you would know if you went on a bodies a lot, The dash was coming with the car when I was selling it. I bought it for $4,800!! selling for bragging rights??!! yah ok.... if you were done with me then why did you comment on my dash at 2:00 for sale and didn't even make sense at that!!
