360 into 64 barracuda oil pan

Working on putting a 360 in my 64 Barracuda. What's the best oil pan for that. Looking at Milodon 30941 and 30940 pros and cons? Probably stepping up to a 408 or 415 next year, like to get this right the first time. Thanks for your help!

I would use the 41 for clearance. Use a stock type oil pump not a Hi Volume.
HV pump is/was a VERY tight fit on 360 unless they have change them..

I would call Milodon & see if it fits the early A body , there is no factory pan for the larger 360 in the old A body .

Going with the 30940. A guy posted a great picture of his set up. Called Milodon and they said it would work. The guy that posted the picture said he did have to slightly modify the k-member though.

Whatever pan you get, REALLY be careful and CHECK the oil pump to pan clearance. I bought a Milodon "stock replacement" (don't remember what part no.) for my 67 Dart, and a fairly stock looking pump WHICH HAS countersunk cover bolts hit anyway!!!! I had to grind the corner of the cover of the pump off, clear down into the heads of the bolts to get clearance, and may have (don't remember) "massaged" the pan some.

IT IS A CRIME That the pump and pan manufacturers cannot make parts that FIT.

If your going to weld the K member clean the inside real well. You'd be suprised the road grime and oil that boils out once you start heating it up with welding.

Stock pump fits fine.. High volume pump has fitment problems. I ran into the same problem with a 360 I built 10 years ago
