70 Plymouth duster 340 first build

Hey everyone well this is my first time using a forum site so bare with me. I'm buying a 70 duster 340 for my first build. As of now it has a baby blue inside and is about 5 different colors on the outside. Was wondering if it would be a good idea to dye the interior black. I've been searching the web for some paint ideas and found two I like. I don't know how to post a picture so I'll just post the link http://images.fineartamerica.com/ima...epro-depot.jpg. I don't really know what paints are good but a think I might use the dupicolor shop paint I've heard some good things about it. I'm only 19 and don't have a lot of money so if anybody has ideas about paint or anything about starting their first car please keep the mind set of a 19yr old also paying for school. Thanks

Take the interior completely apart and you can dye it. Pay attention to prep work !!!! Be aware it will not last forever, it will wear off

How soon would it wear out and if I wanted it to last would I have to replace the upholstery?

just a wild thought here. you may try and take a auto body shop class at a local trade school or something similar.
paint and body work is quite involved.
you cant just paint your car in the drive way or the back yard you need some place to do the body work in and then to paint.
you will need several tools
and a lot of coaching
a class would provide all this.
As far as interior coloring the type of coatings available are dependent on the cleanness of the material being coated.
In the body shop i work at for years... we had a guy come in from time to time and do repairs on worn parts but never the whole interior.
he use to say it was far better to reupholster the interior than for him to remove and clean everything to coat it... too much silicone and other sealers and shiners that make the surface non compliant. "you will have to clean clean clean and clean again".
And it will eventually crack and peal.
