It sounds like your problem develops after you warm up, it really sounds like a vacuum leak after warm up, hows the condition of your intake manifold gaskets ? I hate to suggest this to anyone, but do you know how to check for vac leaks with propane ? I know Iam crazy, its not safe, Mopar forums doesn't suggest using propane, just the crazy Canuck...

Propane is one of the best ways to check, most of the suggestions I give or have heard given are much safer, but propane is easier.

After the rebuild will it idle cold? If its not idling you may need to adjust the air/fuel mixture.

People are like what the hell are you doing as I move an unlit propane torch around the engine. It's great.

Too funny, people are the same everywhere..hahaha. It's surprising the # of people even gearheads that haven't seen that and they freak....love it. I take the torch tip off and slide on a length of fuel line, then I can pin point the propane.
