Can challenger hood vents become functional?

I want to make my challenger hood vents functional but apparently my model does not have the right size for the parts needed to make it functional. I am trying to determine if all basic challenger stock hoods can be made functional by swapping out factory "non functional" parts if the parts magazine says it can't. Any ideas?

I went to my dealership who sold me the car and there are two hoods, apparently one can become functional while the other cant as the parts apparently do not match up. however my hood, i have looked at it and the parts can be ordered to make it functional. However, i was told with my hood serial number from factory it doesn't match with the parts to make it functional.. so yes, it can be but my question is if anyone has had luck with both hoods. I really don't want to spend money on buying a new hood.

When you first asked I thought you meant a '70-'74.
