Congratulations, is it a boy or a girl, how much did it weight, what are you going to name it are you going to put it private schools or... send it into the coal mines for hard labour and get it digging up the ground with it's tires.

But the sound they make really sucks.. Just like those old s-10 blazers you here nothing but fan when they are going down the road.. LOL
Purple Hornet,

In your opinion do you believe that the MP Viscous Fan cools better than a Flexlite 1308 series rated to spin up to 10,000 RPM?

I've never seen a funky fan like that before and am very curious?

I have never had a problem with cooling with the Mopar Viscous fan. As long as you run the correct shroud. That flex fan sounds hideous going down the road at 5000 rpms. I had a 72 catty with a built 500 catty engine and I even made a hub to run the Mopar fan. Plus the fact the fan free wheels at high rpms and does not rob HP, or sound like a rino giving birth..

I can not say the it will cool better than a monster always looked up flex fan that will cut you like a razor while working under the hood. I will say it will keep your engine cool with any clean factory mopar radiator with the correct shroud.. I don't care what gears are in the rear it will cool it.

FAN FACTS !!

Most late 1960s/early 1970s factory-built muscle cars were equipped with viscous fans for cooling. This package provides thermostatically-controlled cooling with a lightweight balanced fan, robbing engines of the least amount of power compared to flex and fixed fans (a 15 horsepower gain is typical for most high-performance V8).

Made it off the jacks stands rite at dark,, went up and down the driveway twice checking things out.. I need to raise the rear a hair its sitting lower than I want.. You cant even tell their is a 29x18x15 on the rear from the side.. I love that look, going to let it settle overnight and see how far I need to lift the rear.

Been reading this thread, very interesting.
Is a pity that an R/T was used. Love the 67 R/T's.
Does the original hood have the fake scoop on it? Is it in good condition, are you selling it??

Yah I know the feeling about the car being tubed, but after a bit I thought about it and said to myself, if it was never cut I would have never ended up with it. To tell you the truth the way it was done, with a donor 4 door car it can be put back factory no problem. The quarters and floor pans are all original and solid..

Yes I still have the original hood and scoop, console and 150 speedo and dash with a radio delete plate... Whats crazy the hood that was on the car was a R/T hood that was cut for the tunnel ram.. I might sell the hood and scoop.. But at going price, I have a feeling we both know what a scoop will bring with out the hood.

When and if you decide to sell sell it, let me know. If I haven't got one by that time, maybe we can talk price.

Hey Hornet.... This is your car and you built it "your way" and that is the right way for you and that's all that matters......

I have a 1969 Dart gts. When I got it, the previous owner had started to turn it into a drag car. Pity. But I will not hack it any more. I do enjoy the car, and maybe in the future it will get a resto, after the R/T.

Got brake lights and tail lights tonight, I know it does not sound like much but when you rip every single wire out of the car. Then start from scratch like I am, one wire at a time it gives you a smile.. No diagram or wire kit will be used just good ol Kan-Doo.. I did use the bulb socket ends.
