1974 Dodge Club Cab 100 - No Spark

hi, my buddy brady's 1974 dodge d100 club cab adventurer sport sat for 28 years and was pulled out of it's grave on sunday july 29th 2018, supposedly parked because one day it wouldn't start. we have previously worked on it, we threw a starter in got new plugs and wires cleaned to carburetor (318 V8). the truck will not recieve a spark. i have checked the coil, we reset the gap on the pickup coil and replaced a few wires and theres nothing, i was a little concerned about the ballast resistor because it got hot enough it started burning our shop rag. any suggestions??

So you got power to the coil when the key is on?
and
You go power to the coil when you crank to start the truck?
On the + side of the coil !!

Ok… Check that.... And if that's good....
Then
Check to see if you have a pulse/flash on the - side of the coil when cranking ?

We are looking for one of three things
you are not getting power.
you have a back ecu
you have a bad coil
basically….
