Question 88 D150 Transmission

Hey fellas! New here, not that that's important, but need a transmission guru

I have an 88 Dodge D150 with a 318, 3spd auto 4x2. Trans died and have been looking for rebuild kits. It has a distinct 999 on bell housing so I will assume its an A999. My issue has been trying to find a kit for a A999. (Drum-role) Are the internals of 727's and triple 999s the same? I ask because nothing I see ever says anything about triple 9. So if its a no on the internals being same, I guess the logical would be go a tried and true 727?

Never had a mopar trans go kaput before on me so sorry for the duh aspect of this post but my ol' truck has been sitting a year and figured a rebuild would be a good winter project.

Go to the ATP Transmission catalog and look up your truck and look over the pans gaskets and find out what transmission is in your truck?
My guess would be it will turn out to be a 32RH or the 727.....
You can get the overhaul kit from Napa Auto Parts.. A&A Transmissions, Cope Racing Transmissions, ATP, ATI Transmissions, A & Red's Transmissions, and so on..

Good Luck... Keep us posted.. Add pictures of the build.
