New project! 93 D150 SWB 5.2 Auto

Hello all, I recently purchased a 93 D150. My plan is to build a drag truck with it. I need some recommendations for parts. The passenger side power door lock actuator is weak and needs to be replaced. Where can I get one because none of the local parts stores seem to stock them or be able to order them. Also besides finding a used one at a salvage yard, does anyone know if there are new door switch bezels being made? I have read the threads on lowering the truck and besides using the van lower control arms, does anything else need to be changed? As in like coil springs or shocks. Thank you in advance.

Like they say, pictures or your just passing wind!

What are you planning on doing for power and how quick are you looking to make it?

I am planning on building a 360 magnum that is carb swapped and msd electronic ignition converted. I’m going to back it up with a non lock up 46rh full manual valve body 3k stall and a 8 3/4 locker with 3.73s.

Forgot to say, I’m just looking for maybe a 11.50-12.0 1/4. It will take more than the 360 but I will do a stroker kit and maybe forced induction down the road.

Sounds like a cool project to me, we have a guy here that can help you put together a plan for a strong small block. Calvert Racing can set you up with the rear suspension. Might have to put it on a diet but it will go!

I'd start looking for a pair of 5 on 4.5 rotors for the front so you can run decent wheels on it to go with the 8 3/4 your going to find.

Thank you I was thinking about that. I need new pads and calipers so I will probably just buy some new rotors for like an 82 to go with the new parts.

I think you need to go back to 79 or 80.
