1972 charger stalling after warm up.

Hi yall I have a 1972 dodge charger 400 engine. Owned this car for a year and a half has ran absolutely great. Went to a car show last week 2.5 hrs away. Ran fine all the way there then on way home car dies going down interstate. Doesnt act like its chugging for gas just shuts down. I found the cable for the choke shorted out on the top fitting on ballast resistor, actually melted the plastic. A guy stopped and had a meter and resistor checked out ok. Long story short after a few hours car started and I drove about 15 min then died again. Towed car home replaced ballast resistor , coil , and ecm took for a drive died again. Waited a few hours car started and I drive it home. Shut it off and on three more times then nothing . Will crank but not start. Cleaned off firewall behind ecm to make sure good connection also ran jumper directly from +batt to +side of coil still no luck. Also car will die after running in garage for 15 min without hitting bumps in the road so not really thing a loose wire more like something is getting hot always has fuel in the carbs when this happens so think it's more I ignition related any help greatly appreciated

I agree... Sounds like a power issue.... Sounds like you covered most of the basic stuff.... My 2 cents, Check the power wire at the firewall and also the Ignition switch for an issue and maybe also a problem in the switch?

Thanks for the reply. Yesterday I checked the voltage to the coil with car off ,cool and key in run mode then I started ran till it died and rechecked voltage at coil and resistor all readings were with in .1 volts of original reading when it actually ran. I believe this is telling me wiring g to the coil is all good even when hot. So today I replaced the pick up coil and reluctor in the distributor and I am currently running the car now in the garage to see if it stalls when hot.... I'll keep ya posted
