Hi all,

I recently began the process of restoring my car using a shop that has a lot of experience with classic autos. My car has definately been driven, on and off the road - and that was before it was given to me. I am the second owner, it was my first car when i was 16, now i am 34. I drove it until 2001, and it has been in a barn, since.

Obviously, it needs a lot of body work. It may need other things. There are 2 ways i can go - the expensive way or the very very expensive way. So if anyone has some advice that might make things go easier, suggestion on where to buy/where not to buy parts, or tips/tricks that might save some labor, i'd appreciate it.

Also, i'm pretty sure it is rare. it is a 68, convertible, it has factory power windows, power brakes, power top, power steering. i believe that year, they only made 1700ish, not sure how many had power windows as i have never seen another one. anyone know how rare this is or where i can look to find out?

Do as much work yourself as you can, that will save you a ton of money in labor cost. E-bay and Craigslist can be your friend if you use the right words when looking for that hard to find part. Get involved with a local Mopar club as most of the time, people have what you are looking for or can help you out with some work when the time comes, usually a lot cheaper (sometimes free) than you can find anywhere else.
