Ok so I have a 70 charger and I've been having this problem recently, when my car gets warm, about 180 degrees, ill switch my fan on but...when I'm sitting at stop light the car will sputter out and die. Can someone help its getting really annoying. It only happens when the car warms up thanks

I thought about that. When I keep the car up on the RPMs it'll stay running but once it goes down in 1st it will die I havta put in neutral at every stoplight and even then it'll do it sometimes

Does the Choke open all the way? If so you might turn the curb idle up a tad...

Sounds like your carb is the problem. When its cold, your choke is closed creating a rich condition since less air is getting to your venturiis. When the car is warm, the choke is open thus giving you a lean mixture at idle and hence the problem. Your primary circuit in the carb may be gummed up or have some build up in the metering system. I would have a rebuild done and Ill bet this will solve the problem.

You can test this theory by closing the choke manually when the car is warm and seeing if it solves the stalling problem.
