1968 Polara Automatic to Manual Choke help

I wanna know if this is possible because my polara has a hard time starting but runs fine once you get it started. My uncle seems to think it is either the choke or starter and said I should try to find a manual choke conversion kit. Sorry if the question has been answered or doesn't make sense. I want to make it turn key before I possibly trade it for a 66 Coronet. Thanks in advance.

If the original choke is working ? a manual choke is not going to help. The choke has a bi metal spring in the choke that is adjustable When it is cold check to make sure the choke sets when the accelerator is pressed. also work the throttle to make sure there is gas in the carb. How long has it been sine it has had a tune up ?
