62 318 mopar in a 1956 dodge job-rated pick up
i have a 62 318 in my dodge and was wondering if anyone new how many hp i would have
it had hooker headers bored 30 over high tension valve springs roller cam high flow oil pump cherry bomb exhaust flat top pistons around 9.5 to 1 edelbrock 650 cfm 4 brl carb and kandn intake botch platnum plugs and accel coil and destributor
tranny is a 76 904 3 speed auto with a chrystler 8.25 rearend with some crazy high speed gears in it

looks great so far! that cant be a '62 318 in the picture. Only polysphere 318's were made in '62. Anyway, HP guess, 330 or so if its set up right. (pretty serious tat dude!) I have always like those old Dodge Pickups.

If you can get the casting numbers off the block, I'm sure that someone here can de-code it and tell you what year (maybe even the date) that is was made.

Welcome. I think that your project is great!
I used to drive a '54 Dodge like yours 2 tone bluegreen and white with a factory 318 poly and a granny 4 speed that wasn't synchro into 1st or 2nd, 6 volt system and the truck came with only one taillight when new. It was a lot of fun!

took it down to the tranny shop yesterday to get the tranny fixed ive had it rebuilt 2 times and it still leaks idk what the heck is wrong but it killed me to drive it down the road wit 2 feet of snow on each side
