Latest... Rear is at the chassis guy's to be fixed.... Starting to get some of the body parts back on... Working from the rear of the car. Now can't find the bumper shock supressor or the steel channel to mt the bumper too.. Have ordered new ones at the chassis guy's expense. He took them off and can't find them... He said he gave them to me.. NO WAY!!!! I have ALL the parts he gave me but no rear bumper parts. Parts have shipped so should be here sometime next week...

Also talked ot engine guy and he thinks we wil light it off on Wednesday. This will be the prem. firing to check it all out then on to dyno.. Will try to get some picts today.... MR

What is wrong with the rear end now?

Edit: I thought I asked this before but what is the rear axle that you are going with? D60?

Tim, the problem with the rearend is the same as before.. My chassis guy finally decided that I was the customer and I was to get what I wanted. When he built it he cut the axel tubes too short. There was NO clearance on the inside front of the slick. His fix was to install 1/2" wheel spacers and move the tire out by 1/2". Did that to apiese him and then only had 1/4" clearance. OK for going in a straight line but for any turns or uneven ground will not work... I put both 1/2" spacers on one side and the tire sits right in the middle of the fenderwell and has clearance all around... So he is now removing the short tubes and putting tubes in that are 1" longer.... Back to powdercoat and reassemble and back to me for the final install...

The axels are from Mark Williams... They are special lightned, gun drilled pieces that are made of 300 grade something????? I know the set weights less than one of the stock ones... And cost a arm and a leg!!!! And yes they all are going into a D-60...

Good old 300M material. I saw a report on shafts made with that material. It is great stuff and well worth the coin.

Just a qucik update. We wired for three days on the FAST system. I bought the custom fit one. Each wire has to be cut to length and then the pin attached to it and then the wire attached into the plug and then plug it into the proper sensor. Take my advise and if you are buying a system buy the universal plug n play one... I know in the long run this system will be better but it sure is a pain in the a$$ to wore it up. Problem is that this will all have to be done again when we install it in the car.. Once that is done it will be fine..

So we did not get to fire the engine. Plans are to do that first of the week... So still working on that..

Talked to chassys guy and he is waiting on one axel... He took the long one and made it the short one and had to order another long one.. Expects it to be there early next week... Pick it up and get it back into he car next weekend...

Drive shaft is in... 3 1/2" alum beauty!!!!!! Can't wait to see it turning !!!!!

Have the rear body almost done... All i need to do is re-install the rear bumper and it will be finished......

More as I get it done.......

I'm thinking that Mack is going to need all the support that he can get and he should fly us all down there to "listen" to the motor and make sure it sounds good.
