Car Wars!!!
This is how I see it and are just my opinions......
Ford - They are a pain in the bottom to work on and fix. Ford is really known for just one car, the Mustang, which I feel they got lucky with.
Chevy/GMC - They are a dime a dozen, cheap to build and are everywhere (so to speak). I go to car shows to see what is new that someone built and to see vehicles that are "one of a kind". Going to a car show and seeing Chevelles (?), Malibus (?), Corvettes, Impalas, etc. are is just boring to me.
Imports - When people "build" them, they sound like a weedwacker on steroids (you know the ones that I mean). They just look funny.
Mopars - They are different, cost a little more because there is less of them out there, are unique, and there is a great varity of vehicles that people follow, not just one or two major ones. Yeah it kind of sucks seeing 4 chargers (still cool becuase of all the different options that they came with for drivetrains) at a car show that has 50 vehicles, but it's the one Dart GTS, one 1958 Dodge panel truck, one 1954 Jeep ****** M38A1 that makes it worth it.
Basically, there really are not that many Mopars out there when you compair them to the other brands. While you can build a vehicle to be unique, Mopars were just born that way. Thats my opinion.

Just like everything else, you have Cowboy fans and Redskin fans, You have democrats and republicans, you have Christians and atheists, everyone is a fan of something, and that's fine until it becomes fanatical, you can't accept that the other exists, and can say nothing good about them. I'm like you, I appreciate a nice car, whatever the brand, and the more attention to detail, the tiny personal touches, and the things that make them different are what keep me enthused.
i maybe a bit younger than some of the crowd here..then again, i may not be.....seems like thats an old beef....a lot of the people that enjoy cars like me dont really discriminate. if its badass, its badass..period.

TOTALLY AGREE with everything you said .
Mopar is just a Bad to the bone Name and when it comes to building a mopar there is no cheap way out of it. so that means its not going to sound like a weedwacker on steroids like stated above unless you drop somthing other than a mopar engine in it.

I believe its socialized from birth, I know my family has been driving fords for a good while. When you grow up hearing how one brand is better than the other you start to believe it. Many people may believe that because my truck is a ford its no good. In my eyes it proven it's self over and over again, and if those same people don't agree, it's of no concern because its not their truck. But as far as Mopar muscle cars go that was love at first sight for me.
we fight about it cause were humans, thats what we do best lol.
but i'll admit i love ford bronco's and thats only cause it took everything i did to it in shape it was in ( probly wasnt even worth the tag and inspection fee's ) , went off raoding it it several times came close to blwoing the engine a couple times when the serpanteen belt broke <-- idiot lights are worthless unless you look at the dash) hit a tree, ran it with 2 1/2 qt's of oil for awhile. damn thing just wouldnt die lol. so i'll give credit to the bonco's or atleast that one.
but never a chevy, idk i grew up in a chevy family who always bad mouthed mopars n fords but still eneded up a mapar lover. and i agree they are very unique, unlike chevy ford and the tuner monstrocities lol altho the supra's are nice.
so i guess to sum it all up.... its either a mopar or a bronco lol

like 67 said it's in our blood to fight ( well some more than others
) .
i used to like all the big 3 makers & there aussie off shoots holden=chev , ford & chrysler/valiant/dodge ( in australia ) . over here the bathurst 1000 ( 1000 kilometer race ) is all the rage & it used to be even more full on back before 73 when chysler was in it to . but now it's only ford & holden , & ford vs holden fans go at it hammer & tongs there is real bad blood there . most people have respect for the old chrysler's straight line performence especially the little hemi 265 cid 6 cylinder which still holds the fastest carburator 1/4 mile production car @ 14.1 in 1973 .
BUT i got draged into the fight by the big mouthed holden/chev ******'s loud mouths calling valiants wog chariots , coon mobiles , abo wagons ect . & being at the drag strip hearing these dick heads talking up how good chev's are BUT the fastest chevs & fords had the 426 hemi under the hoods
. to top it off most auto part stores don't stock chrysler parts , the magazines rarely have chrysler's in them & no good adds with prices & most newspaper shops don't stock mopar magazines . so that just rubs salt into my wounds & being the nutter i am i can convince myself the worlds against me hahahaha .
. my 2 cents

i prefer mopar due to all the reasons stated above. i dont mind sein a nicely done cheby or ford if the owner has a passion for thier car, but im getting pretty tired of seing fiberglass 32 fords with crate chevy 350s
Ive had chevys fords and then I was introduced to MOPAR, My first MOPAR was a 1970 Satillite with a bored and stroked 383 with a built 727 and 3:55 sure grip in a 8 3/4 rear, wow what a car!! Then I got a 1978 Powerwagon with a 440/727, very clean truck, ended up trading it for a (get this) 1969 Charger R/T S/E, 440 Interceptor 727, car had factory A/C, Cruise Control, and power windows, The motor was out of a ex-cop car, thats what the guy told me, then came my baby, 1970 Roadrunner, #'s matching 383/727 colum shift, 3:55 suregrip, factory Plum Crazy car! like alot of you have said, any musle car is cool, but for me there is something a about a MOPAR, i fell in love with the B bodies, and that is where my passion for MOPARS are and will stay!
I have the bad tendency to talk bad about the Chevy but i really do think the big 3 beef is more of an oldschool thing. Im 21 and all of the American muscle my age has forgotten about it for the most part... we have to band together against the huge portion of my generation driving imports. its much more of a Domestic vs. import thing on the streets around here. I have a charger and 2 mustangs and will defend my best friends ls1 Camaro any day, as he will my cars. The big stis and evos pick on the older slower muscle and the ls series, 5-ohs, 3 valves, termis, 6.1 Hemis etc have to remind the rice who is boss.
